Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. was selected for 2016 Top 100 Global Innovator Award by Clarivate Analytics, formerly the Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters, the world's leading information service company (Headquarters: Philadelphia, US), and received the trophy on February 20, 2017.

The Award recognizes companies that lead the world in turning creative ideas into inventions protected by intellectual property rights, thereby successfully commercializing those ideas.

Sumitomo Electric received the Award for the fifth time. The Group will continue to develop outstanding, creative, and original technologies by anticipating social changes and technological trends.
